- The Pastoral Care Department of Ellis Hospital is offering a one day workshop on making effective visits to those who are hospitalized/homebound/or residingin a nursing home. Topics to be discussed include: the spiritual needs of the sick/elderly; to pray or not to pray; the difference between a social visit and a pastoral visit;hoe to respondto difficult questions; listening with an open heart; and taking care of one's self in this ministry. The workshop is open to all who have an interest in visitation ministry. There is no charge to attend. Please register for this workshop no later than Tuesday, September 14th by calling the Pastoral Care Office at Ellis Hospital 243-4158.
